I remember seeing this a while back, it's not really news. Interesting all the same, but I don't think the case will come to a conclusion any time soon.

My thoughts exactly. And I don't think this is the first time Google has been looked at for being unfair.

Google are acting completely within their rights. They are under no obilgation to any company. This will prove to be a waste of time and money.

how can you say google doesn't have any obligation? do you remember the anti-trust lawsuit justice department filed again Microsoft about a decade ago? every single company has obligations to its clients/users and in some cases even to the competitors. if google manipulates the search result to their advantage, then there can be an anti-trust lawsuit.

since feds hired an outside litigator already who tried 40 cases and won them all, it looks like google's bum is gonna be on fire for a while

    I see this as a shot across Google's bow. A big-time wake-up call.

Lol, a completely ridiculous comparison. People that have websites ranked within Google aren't Google's clients. Google retains the right to de-index or penalise anything within it's index. None of these lawsuits will bear any fruit for the people filing them. Don't believe me? Wait and see...

Interesting but how long this case will go on and what outcome will be is not sure. Google has the power to higher best lawyers and they have money to spend for long time to run the lawsuit. Moreover, they can personalize there product so no one can blame for that. There point could be, if you feel they are going against you, you can use other search engine.
