Need css to create a text version of promo image

I'm looking for someone to create a css/text snippet to look like the attached image.


The red star can be an image but I need it to overlay the div box just like the picture.


The box will contain text for seo purposes.


Try to keep the code as small as possible and no javascript.

Is the box intended to have a variable width, or fixed?
