a lote of adsense publishers had problems with 0.01 ads..and me too. some told me the best way is to block many sites and others ay just leave it. but i think i will block social network ads....because i think they not pay good. any ideas??? and do you block too some sites??
I already blocked social networking advertiser URLs in my adsense account. However, this is not the major reason for your low CPC. You need to target keywords that paying a decent amount. You should also target USA, Canada and European traffic. This will give you a better CPC. I am happy to say that my lowest click so far is worth 0.17$.
I only block the sites that have contributed the lowest to my adsense revenue and have irrelevant content.
This is actually the first time I've heard of any Adsense users blocking particular sites -- I don't do it either.
You can enter your url here to see all the ads running on your site http://www.labnol.org/google-adsense-sandbox/ then use something like SEO quake to determine what cpc is being paid. I had one particular site that was getting $2+ clicks as it should, based on a very good keyword. Suddenly I started getting all of these 10 cent clicks. I used this method to block 2 low paying ads from the site and am now getting the high paying clicks again. Like someone mentioned on this forum, you can really look at what is running on your site and pretty much guess which ones are low paying. This has definitely made a difference in my earnings.
