I've read many threads where people claim that adsense is a good beginner way to make money online but the real money is in affiliate marketing. If anyone has been successful with affiliate marketing can you please explain what you have going on and how to begin affiliate marketing?
You know that the online affiliate marketing is truly profitable. In fact, even if affiliate marketing is not complicated as well, you can easily be confused and get stuck in a routine of unproductive trial. Look for a product to promote, create a website or blog, build a list, create backlinks. Taking these four steps is a sure way to start without wasting time? Nope. Obviously there are some other affiliate marketing techniques to learn but just like in every business, you are going to learn them in experience.
I have made two previous blogs promoting products. One was 2nd in google rating for 2 keywords (each keyword had 20k average monthly searches each), but still had almost no traffic. The other was on the 2nd page of google search for a 10k search keyword and it also had no traffic. My content was pretty good, but no one saw it. Any tips on traffic? What keywords should I aim at?
I am an affiliate marketer and i prove that affiliate marketing is better than GA, however, you have to keep adsense ads running for some monetization options. I would have to agree that the BIG $$$ are in affiliate marketing... Sure... some people make a lot of money running Google Adsense ads, but the only real way to do this is to run dozens (or hundreds!) of low-quality websites. And as the Panda updates have proven, this strategy won't work forever since lower-quality websites continue to be weeded out. Unless you have an extremely popular blog or other high-traffic website, you won't make a ton of money with Adsense. The key to affiliate marketing, is to pick a popular and profitable niche -- then become an expert and focus most of your efforts on this niche. For example, payday loans have been very profitable for me (see my sig). After you've chosen your niche, you need to build a high-quality website around the product or service. You'll need to attract people to your website with good SEO, interesting content, social media and other techniques. Lots to learn if you want to be successful with affiliate marketing! But the payoff is definitely worth it
I'm not very sure what do you mean "2nd in google rating" either at 2nd pages position or 2nd spot at 1st page. And 20k average monthly search is from exact search or broad. Obviously all this circumstance will influence your traffic's site. BTW if your website ranking position #2 spot in Google with nice search volume of keyword it's impossible no traffic coming in. Unless you just get rank on your own browser that effected inaccurate position. Try Google and search 'free website position checker'.
I think google adsense is much better than affiliate marketing. Just create a website and place adsense anywhere in your website.
I think it depends on the payouts etc associated with your product niche, and the potential of your site to deliver a converting sale/lead.If you build a good site with a great url, invest in content, attract targeted traffic - then why just take a CPC, when you could profit much more from a share of the revenue all your hard work creates. This seems to be what Bigznet has achieved. With a high %age or CPL on big high-value items (such as loans) this will be more profiable. However, if you dont have time/money/skill/interest to do this in a niche, then Adsense could be OK. YOu still need to have some kind of reasonable content and concept to have any longterm revenue steam though.Good luckMaria

With affiliate marketing, you can build several different kinds of sites, such as: 1. Coupon site 2. Niche site about a specific topic 3. Review site about a variety of products You can include affiliate links as either banners or text links. You can also include adsense on the same page, so you can provide multiple choices. You also need to decide how you will generate traffic to your website. If you want to attract search traffic, you'll need to have keyword rich text which will help you rank well in the search engines. If you plan on using PPC to drive traffic, you can use a different page layout, though you'll still want to keep a great deal of related text on the page (otherwise your PPC clicks will cost more). If you are just counting on domainer traffic, then adsense alone could provide revenue. Adsense is good because you don't have to worry about anything. All you have to do is post the code to your website and drive traffic to it. It is pure profit from there.
I have many sites with affiliate links on it. When a person clicks on my affiliate link and also buy from that store I get a commission. This way I made more then 150$ per sale. That is way affiliate marketing is better then adsense ( cause you make more money ). First thing to do: make a site on topic of interest like hosting. After that place links with your affiliate id ( for hosting companies ) on your site.
