I don't think so. Google+ is beautiful and different from other.
Sometime google is giving notification to gmail user but it doesn't mean that they are forcing us.

i would consider it as a marketing strategy, Google want to win more Goolge+ users, that's why it constantly send you emails. I have get used to the frequent emails from all kinds of suppliers, you may not stop them sending you emails, but you can decide to whether or not choose them.

It's the real way to get the users. I don't think they're doing wrong thing. According to Larry Page Google+ have over 100 million active users now so that's big thing..

The number of users counts for nothing on G+Its the number of active users you need to look at. People are midly tricked into signing up to G+ but then don't use it. I actually really like it though.

Many of them were Android users who had to 'upgrade' to Google +The majority of the 100 million users are those who 'upgraded' and are not using the site/app.

I love G+ too. It's been amazing to meet new people through the nearby stream. I also like it because I can find people with similar interests. What got me back into +, however, was the SEO aspect of it; I think G+ will be amazing for optimization in the (near) future.

There's a funny picture I saw on G+ about the most common problem to G+ and then the solution. I have attached the image as part of this post

Google+ still in its infancy, but obviously Google wants its share in social networks and its ultimate goal is to compete against with Facebook. And i could tell that most of Google+ users are Google loyal fans, they are willing to accept any Google products.

I am just now looking into Google+ so I do not have an opinion just yet. The comments so far have helped me understand a few things though. I also have the opinion that Google+ is in it's infancy.
