My Facebook Accounts Shut Down

Hi everyone,

2 of my FB accounts were shut down. I wrote to them, but who knows if I'll even get an answer.

Has anyone else had a problem with their accounts? It's a good thing I never paid for advertising.

Other than my company's logo which has a small outline of a woman (very tasteful, no one else has had a problem), I've done nothing wrong. I barely use the 2 accounts.

Now it could be b/c I have 2 different accounts, but I'm not sure that's it.

While they aren't adult adult, they do talk about my company which is related to the escort industry.

Has FB changed it's rules about adult or suedo adult sites?

Does facebook send the reason for cloasing them? Did you have same details in both accounts (like name, address and other things.)

 

Yeh I figured that was the reason. I had started 2, one for biz associates/vendors, the other for potential clients & clients. I didn't want to confuse the 2 since I didn't think my vendors would want to be around escorts or escort service owners.

I did have different e-mail addys, but they fell under the same domain & while the last name was different (I only use my last name on my personal FB account), there were other similarities including the logo you see above.

I was just wondering if they were doing a sweep, or I don't know if someone focused only on me.

And what's worse is I was talking to a so called SM expert last year telling him I didn't like keeping the vendor one around, b/c clients kept signing up for it by accident. He said he would keep both open saying what could it hurt, it will give you more exposure. So he's the expert & he didn't even warn me both accounts could be closed down with no notice. <sigh>

Now I have to get someone to redo everything for me & the text was the most important part. I did that myself & it took me 1-2 hours to write it up & edit it. I'll save it in Word next time.

No, no reason & I e-mailed them. Haven't received a response yet.

No, no notice, just tried to log in the other day & it said they were disabled. I don't normally log into those accounts, so I'm trying to think of the last time I was in there. 2-4 wks. ago, maybe slightly longer.

Facebook says ​

it's illegal to have a business setup on a personal Facebook account

. What you're supposed to do is to create a "Page" from your personal account (no one has to know they're connected). ...if you need help doing this, contact us (see our Info page). You're not alone because many businesses make this mistake because they don't understand how to properly setup a business page on Facebook. However, ​

an honest mistake isn't going to stop Facebook from permanently deleting your account.

While I initially had a regular FB account, when the pages were developed, I created pages, so I don't think that's it.

Looks like you are just promoting your service which isn't in your profile anyway LOL

I was going to promote some escort websites with FB, but I saw this post, so said!
If I created FB account to promote escort websites, FB shut down the account, then I get nothing but lost.

 

I heard that's not a good idea. What kind of escort sites?

I got a response from them which makes no sense & they avoided my question. They "claim" I...

• Upload content that is sexually suggestive or contains nudity
• Send messages containing sexually explicit language
• Send friend requests or messages to strangers

All of which was NOT true.

Now maybe they think my logo is the problem & when I first wrote them I asked, but they either ignored my question or were too stupid to read & answer the question.

I've never had anyone complain about my logo before, assuming that is the problem since I do any of the 3 things they mentioned.

Plus the only thing the 2 accounts have in common is that logo, I barely go on & use the accounts.
