I purchased a linux server from LT about 3 weeks ago, and have yet to configure it correctly to work with web hosting...

Im guessing its got something to do with the nameservers...because i can create accounts just fine, but when i change the nameservers on the registrar site(namecheap), it doesn't seem to work...

I can provide root info if someone is willing to help and also i can pay if need be...Like i said, ive had the box for about 3 weeks, just losing money...

Did you configure the nameservers to handle your sites?

Did you register the IP address of the nameservers with namecheap.

Under advanced options you need to go to 'Register Nameservers'

managing your own server is generally a bad idea if you don't know what your doing, I'd suggest you hire someone to do it for you.

I can't remember their name but there is a company out there somewhere that will maintain your server and do basic tasks and from memory they charge about $40 bucks a month.

I'm pretty sure you'd be able to find them using Google.

Login to your domain registrator control panel and register nameservers and poin t your ns1 and ns2 to right ips otherwise it will not work :)
