Here is an extract of an email received from G:

I purchased a site few months ago do you think it can be related?
I contacted the previous owner asking if his account got disabled.

What can I do to be reinstated?

    Thank you.

Did You Tried to Contact Google About this problem ?
    Thats the best solution

Did you got a previous google account disabled ?
It seems that he could be having something similar with you like location , ip address or same computer (cookies related thing )

Just got a reply from the previous owner, he got his account cancelled last week for invalid click/traffic.
I never had any problems with Google. I never clicked on my ads even by accident, never bought nor exchange traffic.

I'll reply to google with a copy of his email, we will see.

Man, I'm sad. I always been very careful to stick with G books. I never though of that one! well, over $500 per month in the drain...

Just got Google reply. Well, not encouraging at all.

Bottom line is: Your AdSense account was found to be related to an account previously disabled for invalid click activity.
So there is nothing they can do!

Another thing is that when you purchase a site G recommends that you remove adsense for 6 to 12 months.

I didn't do it and got my account cancelled and I haven't found anything about it in their guidelines.

    Life... sometimes

Yes as I asked how to avoid this kind of situation. Honestly when you buy a site from someone you know nothing about, you can get burned. The best is to remove adsense and tell G that you purchased a site and wait for them to comment.

Well it's sad to hear about that however I would suggest you to reply to that mail and further ask them if you can apply for reinstation and can get your account reinstated or not? also ask if you can apply for a new account? most probably answer to these questions would not be encouraging but worth asking.
further ask them to close your account, so that you get paid for the amount you had in your account, say you earned 200 $ before your account is closed so you might be getting those 200 $ for requesting a closure of your account.

I do not remember something exactly but it's like that your balance over $10 will be paid, just contact google and they will assist you in getting your balance.

sorry to know that...be careful when we buy sites from others. It is better to buy site that is currently running adsense. Then it should be no prob. I did that and it is all fine.

Hope you can resolve this prob finally. Cheer!

Not always so- a banned publisher can take someone elses ad code and put it on the website.

I think it must be that the site (domain) was banned. This could be one of the reasons why he sold the site in the first place.

Google's reasoning behind banning sites these days are getting ridiculous, nor do they want to be flexible about reinstating sites. Very irritating.

I aggree with you. After investigating a bit - you don't loose $500 a month without looking into it. When they shut down my account I was at some $520 for October.

The guy's account has been cancelled at least 4 weeks after I purchased the site. But Google doesn't care - they go back to "Your AdSense account was found to be related to an account previously disabled for invalid click activity and we have therefore disabled your account."
I email them every other day but it's like talking to a parot...

When I sent a copy of the transaction as well as a copy of the whois history but they just answer: "Your AdSense account was found .../... account." with link to the TOS.

When I ask what it will take to be reinstated, they answer: "Your AdSense account was found .../... account." with link to the TOS.

    etc....

I think my next email will be: Keep it and $%$#$

Very frustrating but when God Google talks, you bow.

Well time to move on to another PPC advertiser. Its still not the end of the world. Can't do much about Google's stubbornness.

I also get worried when I ready these stories. I am not doing anything wrong but I have read plenty of topics where people say they haven't do anything and fall victim for something they did not do. :( Hope you get your situation sorted out.
