    Well, it just says "Inappropriate / Disallowed Post" - I can't see how it is...

    What is a guaranteed sign-up? Why would they not be guaranteed otherwise? And what site does this concern?

    Stuff like that, also known as incentivized sign-ups and CPA;
    forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2300102
    forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2153505

    And Ryan, it's not that, I just asked if someone offers such a service, nothing illegal, just a humble question... It almost feels like a dictatorship in here sometimes, oh well, good thing not all forums are like that...

    Of course it's fraud.. What did you think? You are sending crap for money, how would the advertisers feel? Imagine yourself being an advertiser and receiving worthless leads.
    This forum is labeled as one of the top internet marketing forums, even though there is much spam here, it stays whitehat or whatever term you prefer.

    Sounds like affiliate links/spam to me. Were people signing up for something via your affiliate link by chance?

    That's what CPA is all about.

    Well, no forum is a democracy, it's owned by someone and there for people to use. The staff/volunteers do a good job at keeping it as clean as they can. This signup thing you mention is fraud, as Cucumba123 mentioned. Most likely against TOS of CPA/affiliate service. They want organic signups.

    1) I didn't put any links in my post to sign-up or whatever - as I said I just asked a question, no harm done.
    2) It's not spam nor against TOS as many offers on many networks of that kind accept incentive traffic, and I've been doing that for a while with success (been paid).
    3) With all due respect Cucumba, you're wrong, read about this stuff, you'll love it :)

    One of the mods made a mistake, but this already grew out of proportion and DP is still awesome, so thank you and see you later.

    P.S. Love your sig Ryan.

    No one made a mistake. Promoting anything that earns you money via being an affiliate isn't allowed outside of your signature.

    Buying or getting people to sign up is different than giving away something in return of a survey-fill/signup.

    Have fun on DP, mate.

    Auf Wiedersehen, Pet was one of my favourite shows and I've lived here (Newcastle) for ten years. I can only think about the quote: "How true." Still, it has become my "home" (for now). :)
