I have used all possible "standard" tricks (even the tricks recommended by Google itself) of displaying adsense on my blogger blog but i receive a very low or no CTR. For instance i had 239 pageviews on my blog yesterday and just a single low value click. I feel i should now follow the advanced trick of parsing my adsense code and then wrapping the parsed code in my blog. But my fear now is if it is allowed by Google that i parse adsense codes and/or to wrap an ad below post title (floating the parsed code to the top right corner of post). Now i will ask if anybody has ever done this and can i do this?
how about focus your energy on building up more quality content. tricks are best kept for Halloween parties from what i heard, Google doesnt like Tricks too much ...
thanks Nysul but i believe i have wonderful content. Checking my Google analytics i noticed an average user spends minimum of 5 mins on my pages
really that for float? Well i see alot of sites using this and i have been seeing this for sometime now. What if use it immediately under post title? And how about parsing the adsense code, is it fine?
Keeping Ads under the post title is even recommended by Google let alone many people do recommend this for increasing your CTR try searching google for that, and about what others are saying if you think you got "Enough Quality Content" like what you are saying, then i recommend you try to build more backlinks by having more twitter followers, i see you have enough facebook fans "600" but maybe they are all inactive and dont like what you are posting! so try finding people who love your site more .....REMEMBER!target the right group when you are advertising BTW am nothing am not an expert and am just speaking from my own experience although am just a beginner...Thank you
Doesn't matter if you think you have wonderful content -- keep working on your site and make sure that you are continuously offering valuable info to your visitors. More quality content = more traffic = more clicks You noted that the average user spends 5 minutes on your site -- how many visits do you get a day?
Proceed carefully so that you don't get banned by Google. Realistically, only a small percentage of ppl click on ads. So the more traffic you get, the more clicks. Like mentioned above, keep working on quality, targeted content and the traffic will follow. Good luck in your future endeavors.
Google is more cunning than you... Try to add some link exchange, add your site in directories and to search engines. The more you add the more improvement you will see in your pageviews.
You should still keep in mind that your visitors do not come to your site to click on ads. I don't think that 0.42% CTR is that bad. Just increase your traffic and then your revenue will increase as well.
It just gives me a better understanding of your site quality/popularity. If you claim that each visitor spends roughly 5 minutes on your site but you only get, say, 3 visits a day, it's not really an accurate representation of how valuable your site content is.
Does that mean that you can not use positioning div's when implementing your code to keep text flowing around your adsense ad?
