why do you care about your PR? you really should be focusing on more productive things. anyway, there's one way, and only one way, to increase PR: get links. get lots of them and try to get them from pages with high PR with few other outgoing links.
Well, I have already bought some not bad related links with lower PR. Besides, I refresh content at least once a week. And what else influence on PR?
refreshing content has nothing to do with PR. there is one and only one factor to PR: incoming links, and the quality of them. you still haven't said why you're concerned with raising your PR.
The reason why I concern about how to raise PR of my site is that I'd like to begin exchange links. But it's impossible as everyone prefer sites with PR not bellow 3. It is really a problem to begin to promote my side in the global web.
It doesn't based on the original PR ranking algorithm, but I think it might play a factor in the actual algorithm that is currently being used. Even if it doesn't impact PR it probably does impact search result ranking, which is why PR is considered important anyway.
right, I absolutely believe it impacts trust and ranking, etc, but not PR itself. he was asking about PR. it may be difficult to get link exchanges with low PR but it certainly isn't impossible. what kind of niche is it? many niches don't care at all. focus on getting quality links with appropriate anchor text and on creating quality content-- in the end, this is going to do more for your traffic than worrying about PR will.
You might want to have a look at this article for improving PR for your new website. I also started a thread on this here.
It based on furniture, new decisions and use. I think the theme is rather popular and there are a lot of related sites to get quality links. And one more question: is it important if anchor text contains only some words or it should be as bigger?
As mentioned, stop worrying about PR. Concentrate on quality content. That will improve your SERP and increase traffic. Having said that, if you are just looking to improve your PR, incoming links are the key. And you don't even need that many. About a year ago, I put up a new site that I was going to develop (I never did get around to it). At the time, all I had was a home page with just a large JPG of my design (no text content). I added a link to the new site from a half dozen of my other PR6 and PR7 sites. Bingo. Within a month, the new site was PR6. Your site is furniture related? Are you selling a certain brand or brands? See if the manufacturers have their own sites. If so, contact them and ask if they will add a link to their site (most will be happy to do so). Also, try adding your resource to furniture directory sites ( eg http://www.directoryfurniture.com/ ). Good luck. Vito
If so, what strengh does PR have? Is that mean that I needn't pay any attention to PR of my site, if I just want to create something interesting for web users?
I am only stating my personal opinion, so please take that for what it's worth. IMO, PR is just a clever marketing tool used by Google. Basically, it is there so that people obsess about it. And Google is clearly successful in their efforts. If you wish to sell links on your site to people who value PR, then have at it. But if you are more concerned with your actual site traffic and what your site earns from sales/ads/etc., then PR should be low on your list of priorities. Just my opinion, though... Vito
Of caurse, the main target is site traffic for many different reasons. But how to increase it in the shortest period? This was a question, I wanted to answer to myself to reach it. Of caurse, I'am not a type that heard something and desided: yeee, this is what I have to do. Maybe I was wrong, but First I wish to do, of caurse after unique and interesting text, nice designand so on, was to get to the TOP position in Searchers. And that's why I need PR to be higher. Don't you think it is right?
