The Brief :

Logo re vamp project.

It is simple really. We are in the process of re launching a site and not happy with the existing Logo so we need this to be revamped/ re designed..

Required Size : 450×160 pixels

Please note that we need to maintain same sort of colour coding but need to be a bit more modern and jazzy.

Words that should define the logo – Modern, glossy, stylish and inviting.

What are you looking for size wise?

@ digital_irfan - need to be more creative than that and read the brief again and see if your effort is reflective of the Modern, glossy, stylish and inviting.

@ pehulz - nice effort, but this is too funky and need to stay true to the colours of the existing logo. Not sure if we should have reflections as that wastes space and space is limited.

Note to all: I do need the globes there some where / or may be some thing similar that gives the feel that it is a global site. Think multi cultural , multilingual - and the tag line is still - "multilingual Melting pot" this needs to be there. Also please maintain a transparent background.......

I know the contest ends at the end of the month but still I think we are going towards the wrong direction here. One thing to note is that i am not in a rush hence I decided to run this till end of the month. So please dont think that you have to be the first one to submit to win. It is not the first one who wins but the BEST one to be precise. So take your time, research the site, understand the look and feel and then only submit an entry that is going to increase the value of the look and feel of the site. AGAIN, there is no rush. Take your time and come up with ideas that are really good.


Now to talk about the task at hand....

This is some thing I created myself a few months back. Now lets not reinvent the wheel and move totally away from the concept.

We just need to revamp it not change it totally. For example, the font could be bit more classy and perhaps bit rounded and certainly more glossy. (may be with a white border a 1-2 pixels on the inside edge?)

May be the globe / world map could be a bit diff? how about the same Silhouette but with different flags inside? good example for this is this guys - http://www.multilingualvacancies.com/multi/images/mlv-logo.gif (dont copy them though LOL) Just or could be soem thing similar.

Goes without saying that the background needs to be transparent so that we can use it at places with no white background.

Also the main catch phrase needs to be present in the logo. (any ideas about this? may be different colors? to represent different cultures?)

If i have any more thoughts I will ping them here.. But looking forward to more submissions that are reflective of this post

My dear DP mate - I thought I said no reflections as it wastes space and that is limited...
And i Hope i am not hurting your feelings when i say i want some thing better than this

 

^^nothing about reflections there....

and i've entered 2 better ones but you didn't give me any feedback so I thought they mustn't be close enough to what you wanted

i'm also aware that for some reason my computer is making my images look really poor quality when converting to a .png file, they look a lot glossier and more quality in .psd.. going to try and sort this out lol

 

LOL just realized that i did not tell you individually about the reflection but it is mentioned above at my response to another DP friend pehulz LOL..

But however mate, keep trying and I like that you have taken my point to make the font a bit more rounder.
