Depends on some factors: How many links you managed to build, the quality of links. If you have done white hat seo or black hat. For example, i kept building backlinks and one of my new site got in less than a month PR 1. And that was a new site.

You should not sit and wait for page rank update, but keep promotion work on when Google PR update, you'll award PR better otherwise you won't get anything.

thats because from PR 6 - 7 needs hell alot of incoming quality link ... probably imho 6 times the amt from PR 5 to PR 6
thus you can imagine the amount of time you will need to spend to accomplish that . unless you got 1 quality PR 9 link ... then thats a very different story.

I believe it's also about building links with which particular sites. Not all sites linked to are equal.

Toolbar PR means nothing so forget about it. It's ACTUAL PR that is a factor, and only Google knows this. Just focus on content, your visitor experience, and traffic.

I agree. Don't worry about pagerank as much as quality links and good visitor experience.

No one can tell the exact time taken by the google to show a change/update in your website's page rank. And my suggestion is not to wait for the update and keep working on building backlinks from the relevant, quality sources. One day the update will be shown as per your efforts. But, never SPAM when building backlinks.

Depends on how many backlinks you can obtain before the next Google PageRank update comes along.

well it obviously depends on the number of backlinks you gather for your website. Also after all the work is done you have to wait for the google pagerank update which is occurs three to four times a year.

Getting PR depends on the number of DoFollow backlinks and the next update of PR by Google. Continue creation good quality niche backlinks regularly. Do not use black hat technique. Remember quality is more important than quantity.

Google updates PR very slowly but even then the PR you will see is much older data than what Google actually has. The site could say PR 4 but Google might actually value the website much lower.
