YouTube videos seem to be sorted by PageRank by default when you search for something. If you use a tool such as scrapebox Backlink Checker, you'll see that every video has ~ 3,342,525 Backlinks. So, is the only way to get a high pagerank to comment on high PR youtube pages? However, this will only increase the PR of your channel... Any thoughts?
This post was seen already in Warrior Forum with the same contents. However do not agree with people stating that we can get PR juice to our website by commenting on Youtube Videos/channels
Wouldn't it make sense to build quality links to your YouTube video in order to gain PR, the same way as you do with your money site?
That would make sense, except that youtube works a little differently then a website. Every video automatically gets 3,342,525 Backlinks. I've seen videos with 2 views get a pagerank of 5 and videos with 1,000,000 views with a pagerank of 0. So, I'm stumped.

Youtube.com is not other sites... It has a PageRank of 9 and is the top web 2.0 site in the world AND owned by Google. Therefore, it stands to reason that youtube/google has some type of algorithm set up to assign PageRank to videos based on variables such as; age, views, likes, dislikes, comments, etc. and not backlinks.
Wow this is interesting I'm going to take a look into this, figuring this out could be a potential goldmine
Let me know what you come up with. From what I can tell, the majority of a videos pagerank is based on the age of the video, views, and the likes/dislikes ratio.
What facts do you have to base that assumption on? If by traffic you're referring to views, I've found that views, likes, and comments don't play much of a role in a YouTube video's PageRank. The determining factor seems to be the age of the video.
