The purpose of this thread is to determine whether the majority of webmasters prefer working for themselves or for others. The definition of "working for yourself" is your OWN projects. A site designed and made by yourself. Working for others just means building websites for others. So, discuss.
Very very one sided question, would you rather be in charge of yourself or have someone boss you around? Lets think about it.
Who wouldn't love being their own boss? You get to work whenever you want/take vacations whenever you want, its pretty awesome.
i mostly work alone, i've attempted to partner up with people a few times, but it's always gone sour. like, i was working on marketing software with someone while he built it, and he was slacking or didn't have the knowledge to complete the program up to the required standards. and the project went to hell. -.-
I want to work for myself, but at the moment I'm working for the boss. When the time is right, I will do my own business.
People are a pain. The more of them I meet, the less of them I like. I'm just about ready to put up the "not accepting new clients" sign. I've been turning clients down because I don't like the sound of their voice on the phone. I like the sound of my own voice. Telling me what to do. And telling me how good I am at doing it
Others because I like getting out of the house and going to a job. I might get tired of it, but once you sit around in your house for a couple of months you would do anything to work for someone else.
