How did they do it, does google allow it?

 

Looks kind of suspicious that the code is mostly generated by javascript and the header is not clickable which it should be if it's part of the ad.

If that's a legit G ad, it's pretty weird-looking. Otherwise it blends nicely with the banner.

How to become premium publisher with Google? Unfortunately I realized that Google doesn't have the same rules for everyone.

Yes, it really looks like a premium publisher to me. If you check on Digg, for example, they are also premium publishers and their ads also look odd.

i think(heard it somewere) that you need 100k+ a day or something

 

I had 80k UNIQUE visitors on a site I owned, I couldnt be a premium publisher, though i made like $xxx a day.

 

I heard that you need 20 million visitors a month.

 

You need 20 million page views per month to apply, but that doesn't mean they'll accept you.

 

I think its legit. Looks very cool adsense placement.
