I don't know if there is an advantage of time line. Time line keeps your post on facebook more organized and has a new look.
Timeline is awesome for viewing Images,it looks great.But it is bit confusing. @chaalet you can find your older posts but it takes too long to load them.And timeline will also be applied to fan pages since 30 march.I guess timeline is not a good Idea for fan pages ,I have my fingers crossed lets see on 30th march.
The big advantage of Facebook Timeline is it makes the user’s profile page more professional than before and allow people to view latest news better than old formal facebook interface. Moreover the Cover Photo can be created very creatively. Thus it will help to promote your business more effectively. I personally like the Timeline view and each and every application it has.
... an other great benefit it that customized tabs (as "Static Iframe Tab")for pages can be in full page width (810 px) which allows much more space for anything you want to expose...
You will have documentations of the things that you have done over time and I must agree that it becomes much more organized than before. At first it is confusing but you will get the hang of it sooner!
its very attractive...you can set a big background behind your profile pic, all your friend are gathered in a cool square box with their pictures.....the whole view of timeline is superb...i liked it and i am sure that you'll also like it.......
Facebook to me atleast always comes up with rather confusing layout but eventually everybody gets the hang over. But by the time we are good at it. It changes again and yes that whole background picture is awesome but not awesome enough to make me change it though.
Timeline - Really , its most horrible thing that facebook can do . Its confusing , hard to find anything from walls :S
I find Timeline a huge advantage over the old template. Plus this Friday FB will change EVERYTHING to Timeline and yes even FB pages will be Timelined. So if you running an FB page then get ready for an overhaul. You can Google timeplates.com to find custom layouts of Timeline.
The problem is it seems to add old stuff down the right hand side for some reason, and also if you add pictures that are a few months old they go way down your timeline.... i dont like it...

First thing is that it tells about your nature,what kind of character you posses. from that only you will get new look to the your profile page.
I do not at all like the Time Line theme. I find it too cluttered if you ask me. I just think that it is not an ideal layout and I particularly do not like it for Facebook Fan Pages.
In time line views you can see someone's activity in timely basis and posts and photos are easily viewable without clicking them. The cover photo is also a new feature and the profile will be more interactive than before. However, you will feel it takes some time to load.
