    Soccer (or football as it's known here in England) is much more than a sport. The team you support reflects the person you are and your history. People are very passionate about their team, it's like a religion and it can be very tribal. Everybody has their story about why they support their particular team, whether it's the first game that they attended or because of a old family member. Of course some people are just glory hunters who support the current team that is dominating...these people are sadly misguided. Once your bitten by the football bug there's no escape.
