I just wanted to post here as I've seen alot of noobies wanting to know what is the SURE way of making money online. Notice how I've bolded the word 'SURE' In the world of Internet Marketing, you're presented with so many different methods that millions of people have had success with and alot of them are absolutely the way in which they've found to be the best for them. Though they will always advise you what has worked for THEM. This is because everyone is different and everyone has a different learning ability and style, but I just wanted to advise that very few of these methods will work out if you are just starting out. It takes MONTHS to start earning just abit of money (and ALOT of hard work) and in some cases YEARS to be even able to quit working your day job to cover your income. That is why after years of trying out so many different methods and wasting so much $$$ on other peoples 'methods' has opened my eyes up to the most SURE way of making money online. and that is.......... *drum roll* ...Email Marketing. What's so great about Email Marketing is the fact that the learning curve is not steep, cheap to start off, versatile, and most of all very powerful. They say the 'money is in the list' and it rings true on so many levels. I just want to leave a really good piece of advice: F ollow O ne C ourse U ntil S uccessful -Des Lau
E-mail marketing is great, but it still doesn't fit for some people, so it's also not a sure way. The only sure way to make money online is to find what works for you. This differs among people, which is part of why there are so many different areas a person can go into.
I guess what am trying to say is that the fail rate / amount of passive income ratio in Email marketing would be suitable for someone that is just trying to start out in the trade. The concept is simple and only requires action. But you are right in saying it is to find what works for you. I guess for me and alot of other marketers this is essential in business right across the online/offline world.
The best way is(unless you have loads of targeted traffic at your disposal) making a squeeze page and using some good old PPC to direct some traffic to it. Include an opt-in form, preferably in form of a light box. Something that has worked wonders for me!
Sure. The ONLY way in which I found to have quality, BUYING subscribers (through market research) is to target my market so heavily that they absolutely love what I have to offer. This is done the old school way of finding where your potential subscribers would hang out. ie. forums, blogs and video marketing. I have found these 3 to be the most active. But when you're first starting out, JV giveaways and solo ads are a big boost. Quality posts, effective signature and call to action, just simple techniques. Getting the squeeze and sales funnel right is also critical as well, but not rocket science. If you can implement everything properly and drive traffic, it snowballs
eMail is dying out, statistics show this, major brands and outlets are dropping the use of email, teens and kids don't even use email anymore... I don't even use email anymore and i am a webmaster. The only people pushing email are the ones selling it or related products - just like yourself and your website in the signature. "The most SURE way of making money online." - well where is it? Where's your method? You are exaggerating the title and written this as a sales pitch with your signature being the clicking point... i don't see how your method can be so great when you're pushed into venturing DP for sign ups... people want instant messaging and direct contact... in this time and age instant and rushed is the way forward not snail mail.
The money is in the list! Especially if they are responsive. A list of buyers will provide you with consistent recurring income while you grow the list even bigger.
I've just started building a list in the last few months and am amazed by the power of it. I agree that it should be a priority of anyone who wants to make real money. That, and sticking with a business plan consistently for at least a year.
I think email marketing is still effective, but it depends on the niche. I do agree though that it takes time to build up and not everyone on your list will be a buyer as their are a lot of freebie seekers out there. I'm going to be looking into doing more with social media myself.
Email Marketing is effective, cheap and great. I totally agree with you. Thank you for providing us this post.
SEO with Email marketing I'd say is the most cost effective way to start. SEO gives you free traffic, and Email marketing monetizes that traffic very well.
Thanks Des Lau. It is definitely good advise for newbies and anyone who thinks there is a short cut to making an online income.
Email marketing can definitely be effective as long as you build a quality opt-in list and don't spam them. "FOCUS" is very good advice.
Great advice Des Lau, I found you get best results by building your own list. Can be hard work but far better results.
Hello my friend... Just for the record, email marketing is not dying out at all... There are a number of people who stop using email because they gorw wise to marketers always sending promotions. BUT (BIG BUT) There are always new people filtering into the email marketing funnel who have not realised this. Its a cycle that will last as long as email accounts exist. Tp say email marketing is fading out really is a false statement to make. I currentley make 99% of my income from email marketing in 3 different niches... I dont mean to tread on toes but for anyone who does not know, email marketing is 100% the quickest way to build and grow a real online business online. Kindest regards Louis Doughty
Also that statement has nothing to do with my sig.... Dont sign up to the sig, I dont care... I just feel that people need to know the truth... email marketing is the bomb... If you are still struggling online newbies try to direct your traffic efforts to a squeeze page with some valuable email follow ups and see what happens.. Kindest Regards Louis D
All depends on your niche... the title "most sure way of making money on line" is very broad, i run celebrity based sites & spamming my list is pointless, an email list of webmasters is handy if you're selling shit to them, but other than that... if you're not selling something, it's useless. i don't even know why people insist on grabbing email addresses and using email as a form of sign up - the likes of facebook, twitter, pinterest etc. Most people just have an email account to sign up to sites and don't use it for anything else and once you've signed up to the said sites above - the email address for them (FB, Twitter, Pinterest) is pretty much useless... you rarely see Twitter, FB etc. send out mass email... because it's useless in such environments... that's the point that I am getting at.
