I believe that this is because the ads from the index page cannot be seen. I can only see the ads from single.php. On the index you don't have any ads. And the CTR is usually on the index page.

You will get a note in Webmaster Tools or an Email from Google so you would know.

NEVER click your own links, I have a friend that learnt the hard way!

Most probably your own clicks counted as invalid clicks and may not counted. Google is very serious with fraud clicks. Don't do it.

banned accounts normally due to individuals who think they can outsmart google,

and we all know who ended up crying eventually.

Does adsense show how many times your ads are being displayed? Do you know where your traffic is coming from and how long they stay on your site?

Most of the people facing this problem are due to
    1. Non-targeted traffic
    2. Crap content
    3. Bad ads placement/setting

It doesn't matter. They will find out.

Anyway. I don't see any adsense ads there at all. You sure you have adsense.
I recommend putting a 728by90 banner dead center under your header. then you'll see some results.

how good traffic is good traffic? If you're only getting a few hundred visits a month, that could be why.

As your's is a wordpress site, you should use good plugin such adinjection or something like that (search for it) and using it would help you to put your ads in best places. You should put ads in sidebar and in the contents too. Your ad placement is not good enough. Placing ads in the right is the one of the keys to the success of Adsense earnings.
