Can me and my brother get adsense account?

Hey guys

Alright, So me and my brother haven't got Google Adsense account. I was wondering if it's okay for me and my brother to sign up for Google adsense under different name though we both live in the same house and we both use the different internet?

Is it against TOS?

it has nothing to do with the internet connection or names, it has to do with payee address. If you both have same address you will be rejected from adsense. At the same time if you have 1 names with different billing address you will enjoy all adsense account.

 

perhaps you have a crap blog and/or site? I heard that they don't accept crap these days for adsense

thats very true.......you people need two adsense accounts for your use....thats genuine, so give your real names, with changes of address...that works!!

 

+1 on this . Just go ahead and apply for adsense approval, may be you both can get approval or one of you. In any case you should apply with out any fear.

 

I have heared having multiple accounts of same person. In your case, I think it should not be the problem

 

nothing to worry about. if its home ur mostly on dhcp im assuming, nothing to worry though because of other details.

 

People need to understand what adsense want:
- one account per payee name (same name same address)
- clicks not violating any of there numerous rules

so you can have in one house 5 or 10 adsense accounts, one for each family member, using the same computer, even the same sites (you can alternate ads on the site or even mix several adsense accounts on one page (within the normal limit of allowed number of ad units)

They don't care at all, if only one person is the one in charge of all the family's adsense account or if everyone manage their own adsense accounts and sites, they couldn't care less about that...

Now, if you don't respect the second rule and that your clicks are somewhat violating their rules (even those we don't know) then yes not only one account is at risk as the others are obviously related. But usually there shouldn't be any problem with your clicks if you do nothing wrong and neither other persons in the family.

 

Perfect reply...... I disagree on adding ad code from different account on same page... may be it works but its not the right thing to do.... May be its good to do this on folder level i.e same website and one folds for adsense account 1, other folder for adsense account 2 and so on,

 

I do it since 2006, I have several adsense revenue sharing sites, with old adsense code. There's no problem in having different accounts on same page, at the condition to comply with adsense's tos which is 3 ad units, 3 link units and 2 adsense search boxes on a page maximum. In fact you could have up to 8 different adsense account on one page, one for each element.
But the maximum different adsense account I have on my sites is 3, but it's by choice, not because "its not the right thing to do".

The only issue with my way would be if you really want to SHARE revenues exactly. Then in this case, yes the proper way to do it would be on a time share basis, ie. 12hours the page has all adsense blocks with one adsense id, 12 hours the other adsense id. Or you could another way too. But anyway, that would be the main reason to do that, if you wanted to share exactly, why? Because the first ad unit in the html code will always have the best paying ads, then the second ad unit will have the other less paying ones, and then finally the third ad unit will have the bottom of the pack. But there's also the notion of CTR for each ad unit.. If the third ad unit is the one which gets more CTR because of its better placement, then the revenues of the third ad unit could be higher than the first ad unit..

 

But as for my knowledge this is possible only in European countries and USA only not for the Asian countries or others correct me if i am wrong

 

I don't know the difference in rules between european and asian countries. If you've seen something about that in adsense rules in your country, then maybe yes, but if it's only talk with people then we don't know.

you can. but definitely put yourself at risks even with legitimate sites.
why not apply for 1 account, and then use URL adsense tracking to keep tab of individual earnings.

 

you can have both, but if it is a no good website then nevermind applying..
