From what I understand,link colon command gives you a list of all inbound links to your site,but I don't think Google does this.
Link colon works in Yahoo. You use it likethis: link:www.yourdomain.com -site:www.yourdomain.com To see inbound links indexed by google you can either sign up to webmaster tools or use this search query: "www.yourdomain.com" -site:www.yourdomain.com These both find every reference to your domain and then remove any of your domains actual pages from the results. To see your internal indexed pages too just dont add the -site part
In Google, all it will do is give you a sample of the links a site, it was never designed for or able to show them all. It was replaced years ago by Google Webmaster Tools as a means to check links to your own site.
