Oxyclassifieds Script Owners

Hello all,

I just want to know if how many of you guys here, have bought the oxyclassifieds script.

 

Never heard of it

 

I don't have any but have worked ver 6 and heavily changed it's UI for a customer 2 years ago. the only problem is that some codes are encrypted.

but, i need to know what files were encrypted? i am wanting to add some custom module and functions.

 

I have bought and installed oxyclassified for more than half dozen sites you can see the salesnepal.com v7 and sabaikobazar.com v6

 

I am using oxy.. www.pakrides.com

I am not so sure I will get oxyclassifieds or not yet...

1: part of it is encrypted
2: lack of support.....
(if they can not respond to emails, then they do not deserve my business)

If they are not going to support what they sell, they may as well just
lower their prices down to dime sell prices....

I wouldn't say their support is excellent, but they do respond sometimes right away, sometimes you have to wait.

The script is down to earth, easy to use and easy to modify. Check 'em out.

 

Me. I have bought several licenses for my websites.

 

Which classifieds script do you think is better?

#1: YourOwnClassifieds.com
#2: OxyClassifieds.com

#1: fairly expensive $899 for entire package.
#1: appears to respond when you have questions.
#1: No sure if script is encrypted.
#1: has a selection of templates @ $199

#2: Much cheaper, seems to have everything included that
you would have to purchase from #1 If you did not get full package
#2: Has no API to pull in ads from sites such as oodle....
#2: Script is encrypted; Can you even add 3rd party addons?
#2: I see support is terrible, plus i can see evidence of
bad support going back a few years....
#2: has a few templates

#1 and #2 do not have any templates that I would consider amazing....
most of their templates look so-so at best, maybe starter templates....

What do you guys think?

 

you better use wordpress classified, joomla classified or osclass.org

 

The problem with pre-made templates for classifieds site is that there are simply too many of them. In a sense, there is nothing unique about these sites anymore. It is best if you can write the code from the scratch. It will take a lot more time of course, but I think it can pay off. Best of luck.

 

I am not familer with Joomla; What do you think about ClassiPress for Wordpress, without
getting to deep, it looks somewhat interesting, and their forum is very active it seems....

 

After 3 years of working with Oxyclassifieds and many other classifieds scripts I can say Oxy its the best choice, no doubt at all. Here are just few reasons:
1. To write from scratch an script like Oxy I would charge no less than $3,000 USD take in account that Oxy has been tested and developed during more than 6 years and to do that it cost money as well so 179 Euros its a gift.
2. Oxyclassifieds has all the features a modern classifieds site needs and even more.
3. Once it is properly installed/configured it works perfectly (starting from v7.08) so you will no need support. If you want/need to update/upgrade it, you can do it easily for 29 euros which is another gift and personally I think to update/upgrade it once a year its more than enough so 29 euros a year its nothing.
4. Oxyclassifieds is built on the Smarty Template Engine so you can change the templates design anytime (knowledge needed of course).
5. If you "really" need to add extra features or do modifications to the script, that it is 1000% possible ! ! ! (Knowledge are needed of course) if you are not able to do it yourself you can always ask George to develop it for you or you can hire someone else. Just be careful!!! Since Oxyclassifieds script it is complex and involves many things not any programmer its able to do modifications in the proper way, to do modifications to the script you need to hire someone specialized, someone that knows perfectly the script.
6. The script it is very versatile it can be configured in many ways to meet your needs and it has very good SEO (starting from v7.08) and can even be improved (SEO and script knowledge are needed).
Oxyclassifieds its my number one choice for building a professional classifieds website at very low cost and it is the one I do recommend. If you need support, customizations, redesign and professional services, please do not hesitate to contact me.

 

Yes I was talking about the classipress(wordpress) bazar.nepbay.com as you customized and can add many features and plugin of wordpress. also with joomla dm classifieds you can do the same or you can use k2 and sobi to make a classified site with joomla, os class can be customised and can be added more features like chhito.com but you if you want to run a short term project and low cost then oxyclassifieds is better like my bazarnepal.com
