Backlink Question

I have a site with over 100 backlinks and all of them are from PR2 - PR4 sites.
We are out ranking PR3 sites in Google but because we are brand new we have no rank yet.

If we ranking number one for a keyword and PR3 sites are ranking 3rd and 4th does that mean that we will have at least a PR3 rank when Google updates?

    -Thanks

having 100 backlinks from PR2 to PR4, can make your site gets PR3 on the next update,
nothing to do with the keyword you rank for, IMHO

You will either be PR3 or PR2 depending on the indexing process and googles algorithm, but continue ranking your site and you will definitely see results.

PR isn't the only factor in your SERPs so you may only have a PR 1 and still outrank them. Your backlinks may be for the right keyword and their anchor text is for different keywords related to your keyword, making it somewhat relevant but allowing you to easily pass them in the rankings with a lower PR.

PR isn't the only thing that Google looks at, but you are off to a great start.

Try to get backlinks from the big social media sites, too. Get a Pinterest invite, if you can. That site is going to be huge.

Also make sure that your pages link to one another, and back to your homepage. Google loves this.

It totally depends on the Quality of your site and the Quality of backlinks you are getting to your site.

Getting backlink from high PR is good sign to rank well, but to get more weight of your backlinks in search engine eyes links should be from your niche related sites. IP diversity is also important.

I don't think so. As you said you are new thats why your PR is n/a. If PR3/4 sites ranking after your site this is because of your crawlable backlinks and the content you provided on your site. As time passed and your domain age getting older, then Google will update your PR for so sure.
