    Well, i think the above explains already very well, but I found sitemaster to be a very useful tool for getting to know how users come to the site, better then GA. Best is to link them together.

    google webmaster : will give you the internal structure of the of your site optimization.

    google analytics : it will give you front end optimization of your website such as visitors views, page views. etc
