Just got email from google about shutting down the Google Wave project on 30th April 2012. Here is the email I got: I guess google plus made them so busy that they had to shutdown this project. Also no one use wave, so its good in a way. What do you guys think?
I know its been announced long time ago, which was Nov 2011. but today they officially declared the date. As you can see from the email i got.
Well if something doesn't go well as expected, we have to stop that to focus on another more important things/services
Well said... I remember back in the day i actually paid $15 for the wave invitation... I was so eager to try it out. Shhhhh...dumb waste of money...
i remember i brought from ebay. I was actually so excited to use the wave my self after watching the usage videos, launch video on youtube. cant hold myself.
Well, to be honest, I've used google a lot but haven't really heard of google wave until now. I guess its for the best that they are shutting it down if people didn't really know about it, or were not sure about it. Hopefully if someone needed it, than those new open sourced products work well.
I used Google Wave just to test it out. I liked some parts of it,but now Google+ offers more and better features so having Wave is just a waste. not surprised at all as nhc1987 said.
There's a few services coming out, that have been influenced by Google Wave, such as Runby.me. It has not launched in public yet, but please PM me if you want an invite.
No way i am using it even if it is exists because i don't find any potentiality or interesting in the Google wave project.
