Find a blog in your niche, and make sure it is active i.e getting comments, frequently posting new content.

Email the user something like.

Hi <name>

How are you today?

I was wondering if I could post an article I wrote on your blog, it is called <title> and is about <brief description>.

I have attached it if you are interested, please have a look.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Your Name....

Make sure your content is original and unique, don't link to your site a lot no more than 2 times in post and 2 times in author box. Also don't link to affiliate links...

I have heard that guest blogging is now the most important and useful technique for getting good traffic. The tips are really useful to consider in mind, I am thinking to apply this method as it is really seen handy.

 

Yes guest blogging has more power. When i hit panda, i participate guest blogging. Finally i can beat Google panda using this method. Its not only thing i do.

 

I think you have a lot to write a unique article on your blog, then you try to link building

 

In my opinion is about writing a really good content, which is unique and has very high quality. Then you can provide links to your personal blogs and write guest posts.

 

I saw someone post in another forum I frequent about a new site that lets you sign up and post articles. It was called thinged.com . Maybe that would be a place to try and post to.

 

Find a particular blog that belongs to your niche or you can even check My Blog Guest-->Looking For Authors and check the posts there. Select a site that has a good PR and gets lot of traffic. You can gauge the traffic from the number of comments to a post or FB shares/likes, G+1's, Twitter share etc.

Next you can just mail the admin saying you've an idea for a guest post that you would like to contribute. Some guest posting sites even allow users to register through Wordpress and then save the article draft which will be reviewed by the admin and published in a few days time.

 

I think everyone has provided you with some excellent tips. It seems to me that once you are able to write a few guest blog posts, the process will be easier. You will have samples that you can show blog owners so that they can see you will provide high quality posts on their blog.

I have been reading more and more about guest blogging and from all the positive comments I believe it is one more weapon in ones arsenal to get traffic and make money online. I write all the material for my 20 sites and it is exhaustive. Would it be kosher to ask a blog owner if I could be a guest blogger with one of the articles I have already displayed on my blog?

 

While guest blogging definitely works, you're exerting a lot of effort for a couple of backlinks by taking the time to get to know them and write an entire post. I might use this strategy if it is a very high traffic site that I feel would generate a lot of redirected traffic to my blog, but that is about the only situation in which I would spend the time for the return.

The tips for guest blogging are like you must read the blog where you want to post your topic. You must maintain the quality in your content and offer something new to users in your content. When you make any blog post on blogs, you will get some comments for your post and you should give respond to those comments.

 

As a few others have mentioned My Blog Guest is a good place to start looking for guest blogging opportunities. I have also started using Bloggerlinkup.
