Contest $25 logo competition - Pet niche - Interesting/unusal project :)

Hey guys,

I'm in the process of updating my frozen reptile food website, the current version can be seen here : www.frozenreptile.co.uk/index.php

I'm updating to open cart with a much sleeker, much more modern design and I'd like the new logo to reflect this. The current stage of the new site can be seen here, theres still lots of work to do http://91.146.108.26/~reptile1/FrozenReptile

The site will feature greens, blues and blacks. The site essentially sells frozen food such as mice, rats, chicks etc to reptile keepers and also bird keepers. You can see on the first link some of the kinds of stuff for sale. The logo can incorporate and/or rodents and reptiles, or even a bird if it will fit somehow.

Logo size can go to 400 x 75px (horizontal), perhaps 450px at a total stretch. White background. Logo needs to feature the company name "Frozen Reptile" and the tag line "The Best Frozen Food for your pets" (thats only a temporary one until I come up with a better one )

Sleek, modern, and inventive ideas are appreciated

I have the following stock images available for use: www.frozenreptile.co.uk/stock (I have paid for them and have complete use of them).
I also encourage you to look in your own libraries, flickr (creative commons only) and wikimedia.

Looking forward to suggestions and concepts.

Love the use of the mouse, not so sure about the other stuff. Font is too simple, no colour, not 100% on the snake (but a nice concept to explore perhaps).

My Entry:

 

The Graphics guy, Excellent chameleon diagram, I love the concept. The only problem is chameleons don't eat mice Could you come up with a diagram of a snake or mouse (or both).

Also, playing with different font colour options could be cool. This one, along with one submitted by pm, both have fantastic chances to win.

Just throwing this around as a random suggestion to anybody who is feeling daring, I have no idea if it'll work btw But perhaps have a picture of a rodent to the left and some snake creeping up on it (behind the text). Like I say, I have no idea where this would do and I don't want to drag those if you with nice designs away from pursuing them (please don't!) but yes, just thought I'd spitball

 

As a quick note, please don't delete the chameleon, I have another site that with some tweeking we could make that work for. Drop me a pm about it
