E-Book content, now what?

    Hello,

We have been writing a e-book, containing 20.000 words about electronic dance music. The content is ready, but we are discovering how to arrange the design, like fonts, images, style, text mark-up and so on. We have several related dance music pictures for our e-book, but we don't know yet to decide what colors and all things above. Any ideas how to transfer this content to a professional good-looking e-book?

Yes agreed on that tip. Try to hire somebody else in the forum or freelance portals. You are bound to find the person who will do the work for you. Set your rate and have an interview. If you really want to have a professional looking ebook you need to trust the work to somebody else.

I've heard elance.com works well for people who are looking to hire someone. As others have also said, there are tons of resources on these forums. Good luck!

I have written numerous ebooks between 30 - 100+ pages in length. I'm not sure what software app you used to create your ebook, but if you are able to copy all of the text all at once, you could easily re-create it by using 'PagePlus' by Serif software. It is a waaaay cheap alternative to Photo Shop, and I've even used it to create two hard copy books that I am selling, which you can find on sites such as Amazon and Barnes & Nobel (I even used it to build a nice professional looking cover with nice graphics). Anyway, there is a little bit of a learning curve for learning how to use it, but could probably get the whole project done very quickly. Otherwise as others have mentioned, you can outsource it to someone.

    Best wishes!

If In doubt, hire someone else who knows how to do these things.

Less stress and a better outcome!

    Hope this helps,

It is best that you hire a professional to hasten up things. If time is not your problem and the book is not too long, you can consider doing by yourself. By doing so you will be able to organize the book how well it suits you.
