How can I bring Alexa Rank below 100K for my site?

    Hi

    Guys Please share some useful techniques to drop Alexa rank below 100K.
    some one suggest me to install alexa toolbar and write reviews but it doesn't really work.

    Please share your knowledge.

    Alexa rank drops with increase in traffic..... If you want it to get dropped then drive traffic to your website.... Either use SEO for that or promote it with social media networks.....

    hassan001, I can't agree fully with you! To drop your Alexa ranking, you should try to increase the number of visitors to your website, who have an INSTALLED toolbar of Alexa, because Alexa only checks these visitors. (of course you can't be sure which follower has an installed toolbar!) // Better pay a greater attention to SEO and your Alexa ranking will drop once you build more visitors to your website ;)

    If you don't agree with me then don't :) I have personal experience with Alexa traffic ranks and ran a website with 45000 alexa rank. What I did is only this....

    SEO
    Promotion via forums, chatrooms etc... (never spammed)

    Before doing this activity my Alexa Traffic rank was around 2,30x,xxx and after doing this activity after 3 months I got alexa rank of 45000 :)

    I have no clue that my visitors had alexa toolbar or not....

    Remember Alexa doesn't count for its toolbar what it count for is just traffic...... So I just wanted to clear this point for everyone who is reading this post......

    Write something useful on webmaster forums like DF and have your URL in your signature so other webmasters can visit your site. Be consistent and with traffic will come your Alexa Rank

    Just do pure Quality link building with Different SEO activities. It will definitely help you in improving alexa rank.

    You can do directory submission, social bookmarking, article submission, forum posting and blog posting to get good rank in Alexa.
