$100 to the person that can get me to 0.5% CTR... $500 for 1%

    My largest website is http://www.gunzfactor.com

I've tried thousands of combinations/color changes, etc, but nothing is working much better than anything else. Without giving out specifics and breaking TOS, my ctr is very low and is bringing in ~$20 per day with ~100,000 page views daily. CPC is always low for video gaming sites, and I've already blocked 200 MFA sites with zero change.

I'm looking for a PM with the following:

    1. A specific colour change(s) for specific adsense placements.

    and/or

    2. Specific changes in size or removal of an adsense or non-adsense CPM ad placement.

    and/or

    3. Any other advice

If I run your advice and my overall CTR gets to 0.5%, I'll paypal you $100. If it gets to 1%, I'll send you $500. Im freggin serious, this has been bugging me for the longest time. Its my least profitable site with concern to ctr and traffic.

I'm not an adsense expert by far but I doubt seriously you will ever get a good CTR with that placement. If it's not "in the way" of what they are reading they will never notice it.

I can get you 2%. I have had video sites with 10% CTR. Yours will be no problem.

The difficult thing is that this isn't an MFA site. I cant just toss around 280x3xx boxes around and sack traffic. I'm looking for a colour combination or size/position change that will make a difference.

Put one more adsense block below the existing one on the right hand side.

The pics are cool but only put the top pic there. :)

336 x 280 block on the top, and you'll have much more than 1 %.

Or decide if you want revenue or good looking site :)

i have to agree with this. Its very hard to get any kind of clicks if its not in a area where people would normally click.

My best suggestion would to put a link unit just below the banner of your site, centerd. make it eaither a 728 or a 468 and blend the colors to match your site. with a black backround and border.

put a leader board underneath your top banner and place another rectangle box at the top of your articles just like the ones on the bottom
    :)

PS. I'll wait for the $500

PS2: Here is a pretty good implementation for WOW tips and tricks

Place a link unit ad (probably a 120x90 or whatever fits best) on the upper left hand side above the navigation, blend it with your current color scheme. I know some people don't like link unit ads, but they do work.

I believe that having the dating ad directly below your adsense ads on the right hand side create an ad blindness, i.e. they see one obvious ad and ignore the ones above it. Consider removing it depending on if it is paying off.

As someone else mentioned, run your ads (either a 728x90 leaderboard or a 468x60 banner) with the same color scheme directly under your current leader board.

I would simply remove the adsense ads that you currently have on the upper right hand side.

Put a link unit (4 or 5 links going horizontal) under your Community links (above Information.) Make the links white. Also, a small ad block under the first post of your blog (homepage)

I can guarantee a much higher ctr. Just pm and i'll send you my paypal :D
