Is it time to switch from adsense?

Hi there, so i own www.fifa13.com, nearly 90% of the traffic is organic. According to adsense, i get on average 1.2k impressions, yet make just under $4 a day, roughly, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little mess.

I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on how to improve my earnings, and if someone can review the site to see if ad placements are good. I tried image/text link ads, but the earnings seem to really fluctuate and would get like 10 - 15 clicks per day but not so much money made, so have now just switched over to just image ads, going for around 3 days now and doesn't seem too bad.

try to find a cpa offer specific to football games/football

can also try setting up a lead generation report with fifa tips then promote the next game when it comes out or other games.

if you really wanna try something different... try flipping your sidebar to the left side that might provide more clicks.

try a ad at the bottom of the text instead of at the top

All else fails try getting them on amazon, atleast if they go there you dont have to sell what they clicked anything in 24 hrs will get commision.

no not really you should only move from them if your making a lot of money, because adsense is one of the best and pay the most per click some might try to pay you as low as 0.01 from 1 click on an ad which is really low and $4 isn't that bad and you can lower your payout so then you can use the money to invest back into the site and start making more

your domain name says fifa but it doesn;t have anything with soccer. i see its about comics and games so wondering whether your traffic is targeted or not.

another things i see is that you are using image ads which may or may not deliver targeted ads all the time. try switching them to text ads only and see if that makes any difference in income.

where your visitors come from also has something to do with your income. if your visitors come from a country where no relevant ads can be served, it will lower your earning as well.

i will suggest you to switch your ads to text ads only and test the earning for one week. if it doesn;t make any difference, then play around with your ad type and ad positioning till its better.

Should try selling your domain to EA Games, you'd make a substantial amount, especially as this year they will be releasing the 2013 games... just a thought?

id imagine fifa is copyrighted so if ea get to know about the site they could just excercise a cease and desist to get the domain..

That's true. You should target FIFA. Not other things. If you feel that you want to switch from adsense, try a good impressions based ad program.

thanks for all the advice guys, i will stick with the image only ads until march the 20th. Then change to text only ads and see how they work out and see which is the best to go with.

I think i will also try some amazon affiliate marketing also, once site get's into google news. What Amazon shall i do though, amazon US or UK?

I already tried emailing EA Sports but no luck, didn't get a reply, not to sure if they would want to buy it though!

    Not a bad earning.
Just work on traffic. Increase your website traffic and earn more money.

Advertise it on forums etc. AdSense is bad, because everyone hate ads

Best way to find ideal ad placement is to experiment. Place them on different areas on your site for a set period of time and compare the results.

Like Icegin said, placement is key. Make it somewhere that people will see it always, but not so in their face that they just hate going to your site. And if you are going to do Amazon affiliate for the Fifa soccer games, you might think about Amazon UK.

    EA does not own "fifa"

Can you even copyright a domain?

Maybe you mean using EA's title names on your website....
