whats the best way to merge 2 domains (.com and .net) to both point at the same site?
    .htaccess?
    redirect?

Advice from a seo point of view please.

Just redirect one to point to the other, that’s what I do anyway.

Park one on top of the other and the 301 (permanet) redirect the parked domain to the main one.

If you have cPanel just use the redirect icon.

See, If you wanna park the domain then Google will delete your pages from the cache due to duplicate content.

So, using .htaccess with 301 redirect.

My personal experience has been that parking and redirecting will pass along the PR. I had a 3 and a 1. When I parked and redirected the the 1 to the 3 it went to a 4 on this last update.

When I unparked another on a different site that I had never redirected it went from a 2 to a 3. Absolutely no other changes to this site config.

I really read a lot of articles before I took this step. Some of those are here on this forum.

    YMMV, your milage may vary.

btw brother, If you are looking for a good ranking in google, Thinking that good pr will help you out? Then i must say brother, Kindly look into your strong backlinks. If you have strong backlinks then the ball will be in your court. :)

As now a days PR is nothing in terms of providing good ranking in google. It use to give good ranking but not now.
