If you have already determined that you don't want to upgrade hosting, then what you have will have to be enough.
I can't tell you how much you can do with that. I don't think anyone can accurately break that down into how many posts or pages of content it will hold, or plug ins you can run. Because we have no idea what your plans are with it.

If you were just going to put up a few page website running a plug in or two ( something like a landing page), I'd say you'll be fine.
If you plan on running it like a normal WordPress blog, then you will be in trouble eventually.

All I know is that anything that is limited, is not a good fit for a website that you intend to add content to frequently.

You can take a pretty good guess though, for standard sized articles you'll be able to get about 20,000 posts - that's with circa 10 revisions on each post, and leaving room for indexes and meta data - as a general rule of thumb you need 50mb per 1000 posts.

That said, your plan only mentions storage space, the amount of RAM usage for indexes is more critical to how the site functions, and I doubt they'll have a dedicated 0.5 or 1gb RAM for your mysql database only.

Thus, it'll be good up to the point where you're making enough not to worry about upgrading.

First suggestion to you: Stay away from GoDaddy in terms of web hosting. They are very horrible in web hosting. You will face lots of downtime.
Second suggestion: Best option for you to use two different server (windows for ASP, Linux for wordpress). Windows is not for PHP, MySQL; and you will face lots of problem if you host wordpress on a server, which is running apache in windows. You can use A Record to two different hosting with one single domain, you will need a sub-domain though.
1GB space is well enough for a wordpress site. I have one blog with more than 15000 posts, and it's database size is less than 150MB. So you no need to be worried about the database size, when it is 1GB.
