    http://merchantmarinejobs.org

This offer also included the duplicate site merchantmarinejobs.net domain and content.

This site is for people looking to work in the maritime industry on cruise ships, offshore oilrigs, river casino boats, commercial fishing vessels, Mississippi river towboats, merchant vessels sailing U.S. waters and international waters.

I registered the domain in 2007.

My history is that I sailed in the Merchant Marines in the 1970's and retired from the U.S. Coast Guard National Maritime Center in 2009 where I worked issuing Merchant Marine Credentials to applicants for getting jobs in the above industries.

I had the site submitted to the search engines since I registered it. It has been number one in Google, Bing and Yahoo for several search terms, Merchant marine jobs, merchant marine employment, how to join the merchant marines,

Search the terms in the search engines and you will see it is number one on page one.

Domain is registered through Schogini Systems and hosted with HostGator (expires 2/2013). The site was originally created in FrontPage but it is now a WordPress site. I made $3,400.00 with Google ads in 2011, I just started using Indeed job boards a couple months ago and have made about $75 so far.

I have several Clickbank affiliate ads on the Jobs page and the Oil Rig Jobs pays me $40 for every signup. There is also cruise ship jobs affiliate ads from ClickBank.

Everything goes with the site, the videos I sell explaining how to apply for your merchant marine credential from the U.S. Coast Guard.

The videos are on a download page and those come with the site. The videos open in Windows Media Player and walk the customers through every step of the procedure in great detail on applying for merchant marine credentials. The download site also has all the forms customers need, application, physical, drug test etc. You can watch sample videos on the site.

    Merchantmarinejobs.net is registered through GoDaddy.

I have a Merchant marine jobs facebook page and merchant marine videos on YouTube, Vimeo, Metacafe and other sites all driving traffic to the site. Those will be given to the winner to upload anywhere they want. All videos were personally created by me. I will not use the videos to compete with the winner. Just enter your adsense ID and ClickBank Id, PayPal button for the video sales and you are in business!

Number one page one Bing 46 million results, Number one page one Yahoo 49 million results,

My reason for selling is because of health problems.

Interesting, but the stats above are all from 2011. Can you post Jan/Feb/March 2012 stats for adsense?

You adsense screenshots show an average income of $100/m whereas your listing claims $400/m. Where is the other $300/m coming from and can you post screenshots for that source? Thx.

the pic above third from the left shows all of 2011 adsense. actually the average comes out to about $275 a month plus the sale of the videos and clickbank money. My 1099-Misc from Google was $3430.00 for 2011

Here is my try to get an address to the question asked by Premium Domains above. Yes, for the the first 3 months of 2011 your site averaged close to $300 a month. Your site averaged $100 a month for those same months in 2012.

Your site is priced at 9 to 10X monthly earnings on 2011. But if the first 3 months of 2012 are representative of what the buyer can expect for the rest of 2012, your site is priced at 35X Adsense earnings. I don't think anyone on DP is going to pay that.

So could you address what you think is going on such that the Adsense income has taken a +60% hit, and can you provide the actual earnings for the first 3 months of 2012 excluding Adsense?

I am interested in your site, but I am not willing to buy based on 2011 numbers if 2012 is shaping up to deliver 1/3rd of the previous income.

The only thing I can tell about google is the ads aren't as related to the content as much as they used to be, for example now I am seeing ads on the site for university of Phoenix online, I don't know what that ad has to do with the merchant marines. This has been happening a lot lately. If you look at the ads on the site you will see what I mean. as you can see from the pictures it has good traffic. Traffic has always been better in the summer months.

I agree with MTUser2010 - no one will pay based on 2011 earnings. Realistically, based on 2012 earnings, the site should be priced between $1,000 - $1,500 max unless you are able to provide revenue screenshots that prove 2012 avg rev/month to be above $100. Anyway, great site - best of luck! PM me if you decide to sell for a lower price.

    Thx.

Appreciate your input, I'm only selling it because I need the money but I will just keep it for now I guess if I can't get what I'm asking.

I went through my PayPal statements and counted the sales of the videos on the site, since Jul 2010 when I started selling them to now I sold 145 copies total at $14.95 which comes out to a little over $2100.00 for the period.

Since most people are not familiar with the U.S. Coast Guard licensing program, I will give the buyer 30 days support on the site to help with any questions.
