It is most likely not a PR10. Not even Facebook is a PR10 and its the 2nd most popular site on the planet. Its most likely fake PR

That must be a fake PR. Because it is quite impossible to achieve PR10 within 5 months. Just search in Google using "site:that domain" you will find the real page which they are using for showing PR.

thank you for this useful information. But can such scams be made only on .info domains or is it possible to do on other domains too.

It is not at all possible. It is fake or perhaps they have used some black hat techniques.

    smth is really wrong.
The best way to check if that Pagerank is fake or not is by

    1) Install the SEOQuake addson

    2) Google the keyword “info:example.com”

Although its faked it does look crazy on my toolbar at PR10.
Goes without saying that the PR10 is fake, but i can't find any proof that domain is fake PR.

I understand the redirect, and what you say about breaking it after the update explains why it doesn't show up on any fake PR tests now. But what I don't understand is that they would have to have access to a PR10 site in the first place to be able to redirect it, wouldn't they?

    Whaaaaat?! :D

No way! Google is changing their algorithm lately a lot! Google is PR9, and the next day PR 10. It is caused by those changes, because a blog can't get PR10.

Oh no, I don't think so. Of course, a lot of things can be bought if you have enough money but not in this case. If it were so then every big company had a site with pr10 (why stop? there might be pr1-100))) but it doesn't work now. All people can do with their mney is to buy links to have higher pr, that is indirect influence. I don't think you can come to google and say "Hi guys! I need pr 10. Where's the checkout?"

This is definitely fake PR, which has been created through 301 redirection before the Pagerank update.

But you can ask that the PR was updated in way back Feb, so how it is still maintaining 10?? You will have the answer if you see the Robots.txt file of that website. The website has intentionally blocked all Search crawlers (Google, Bing, and all). So they are not able to update the PR value, if it could the PR will come back to N/A , I guess.

    Their robots.txt looks like that

#**************************************************************************** # robots.txt # : Robots, spiders, and search engines use this file to detmine which # content they should *not* crawl while indexing your website. # : This system is called "The Robots Exclusion Standard." # : It is strongly encouraged to use a robots.txt validator to check # for valid syntax before any robots read it! # # Examples: # # Instruct all robots to stay out of the admin area. # : User-agent: * # : Disallow: /admin/ # # Restrict Google and MSN from indexing your images. # : User-agent: Googlebot # : Disallow: /images/ # : User-agent: MSNBot # : Disallow: /images/ #****************************************************************************

    User-agent: *
    Disallow:

The text marked with *** means that the robots.txt file was generated automatically. But the most important there is the derective Disallow: which means the file ALLOWS the whole site for crawling. Why would they need PR if there wasn't any page in search? There would be no point in it.

But still I agree that PR is fake and just DON'T UNDERSTAND how it was done.

Who really cares , I would not put my link on that site if it was for free. who cares if someone can game Google eventually they get caught. Maybe just report the site and it will be gone next week?
