Hello DP'ers, Im searching video recording program, that can record desktop activity (to make tutorial etc.) with ability to record sound from the inside computer (not from outside - with microphone) - and one important thing - i do not need to record cursor activity. I have tried Debut, but its recording my mouse cursor too, and i searched and did not found where to turn it off. I have tried Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 Screen Capture, but free version only limits to a 10 minutes of the record per single session. And upgrade is quite expensive. Any other suggestions? I would prefer free, but would consider paid too. p.s. please also suggest not very difficult video editing software also. All i need is to stitch several videos, add transitions in those places, ability to place image watermark, write some titles, add soundtrack. Thank you very much for reading, Hope you can give some ideas, which will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
CamStudio is a good free option, it won't let you edit but you have a lot of options to screencapture. I think it has the option to disappear the cursor or highlight it. You can edit the video with the free windows movie maker. Or YouTube now have an editor which can be used for cutting and splitting your videos and add transitions. Another option is Jing but the free version only gives you 5 minutes and you can't edit the videos. For one of the best paying options, you can use Camtasia, it let you save and edit and is very easy to use.
If you have money to spend, I would definitely go with Camtasia. The software works very well and has many options to help create a great video.
Now I am using Camtasia, which is really a good software for desktop recording and then I can use it to edit the video I record from my desktop.
There are many free desktop recording software available in market, some of them are listed below. 1. uTipu. 2. BB Flashbackup Express. 3. Camstudio which I can suggest. 4. Jing. 5. ScreenToaster.
Camtasia is simple and easy and gives you everything you need for desktop recording. I think it's money worthy software.
Well, you can try Any Video Converter Ultimate which is a good tool for you to create video tutorials, demonstrations and presentations. It can record and capture all the desktop activities.
Camstudio is the best option for this problem. Use can try this. I said ones you use this you must not go for others.
I've used Camtasia and it works like charm....and you can choose the amount of area of your screen to be recorded as well...plus I'd suggest that you should disable visual themes while recording the video so that it doesn't get laggy.... ..
Hello, I'm new but i can tell U something about recording software because i tested a lot of them this year. There are a lot of software on market but a lot of them are very different. At first u must consider for what do U use this programs. Are only gamer ? Do You want to record something else like desktop ? Audio and movie from websites like YouTube or other sites with full movie? Audio from radio sites? Would You like to do tutorials and movies How To? there are a lot of questions like this. For game recording i tested about 6 programs but i will refer only two. Well known Fraps with is most popular in in-game recording and Action (Mirillis Action) with is new on the market and i think that u never heard of it. Fraps i think everybody knows. It's very good program with lame layout. It works great on good computers (good computers = min 2gb of ram, a looooot of space on hard drive, graphic card for gamers). Stronger PC better results in Fraps. I think that everybodu knows fraps. Action (if U want to search for it u must search for mirillis action, they have not so good SEO and SEM) is cheaper and i think as good as Fraps. Maybe even better but it's only my opinion. They have a 30 day trial with full functionality. For me there are only two software for in-game recording and like a said i tested a lot of them on different PC's. Thanks
Have had pretty good experience with camtasia. It is easy to use and does all of the things that you mentioned
