We're after a logo for a new website. The Company name is Dacha Architecture.

It will be producing free standing units for spending time similar to this : http://www.archdaily.com/15593/vader-house-andrew-maynard-architects/

Now for a bit of background -

A Dacha is a physical place, an earthy retreat where Russians go grow potatoes, pickle onions and go fishing. In the imagination it's an idyllic place with no traffic or police. Although the company is not Russian it may help when envisaging a logo to know that the name has come from here. The logo should be strong, in a cyrillic font, probably black with Dacha - foremost. Perhaps the word architecture should go underneath and be in a thinner font.

The contest will end on Friday.

    Things to remember:
    - I retain the right to not accept any entries at the end of this contest.
    - all logos to be supplied in vector format.
    - if your entry is chosen you may be ask to do tweaks and corrections as needed.
    - if your entry is chosen you will be asked to supply the source file (.ai file) as well as any fonts you have used.
    - Winning this contest may mean that I will contact you with more work in the future.
    - Payment will be via paypal at the end of the contest.

I look forward to seeing your entries. :)

Thanks for swift response. I should have made this more obvious - The word 'Dacha' needs to be readable by westerners.

Thanks for the entry. I like the thin lines above the logo but I'm not sure I understand their relevance. We're also looking for cleaner more defined fonts.

thanks Pehulz for the correction. I'm not sure about the 'a' resembling a house. I see what you are doing though.

Thanks for the entry. I like the thin font you have used for the word 'architecture' and the fact it is uppercase. The dacha is a little too rounded. I'm not averse to the use of some graphics to help the logo stand out but this is a little too high and reminds me of a church window.

Thanks for entry. I like the simplicity of this and I like the fact that it includes a graphic. I'm not entirely sure that the house is the right graphic but this could be easily tweaked I am sure.

Thank you for joining in. This one doesn't feel right I'm afraid. Why ? - if a graphic is to be used we only want to feature one building and the colours are not what we're looking for.

Thanks for this - Here's some feedback : as with the previous entry any graphics used should only feature one building (single storey). We'd like to see the word Dacha always using a capital 'D'. The word 'dacha' should be in the strong type and the word architecture should be thinner, uppercase and more modern.

Thank you - there nothing to dislike about this but the icon reminds me of a book publisher rather than a living space retailer.

This is the favourite so far. It has a strong presence and feel to it which we are looking for. I'm not entiely sure hwat the image is and it feels a old fashioned which we are keen to keep away from. We're going to look up some logos that we like which we'll post links to below.
