Yes, google analytics is more user friendly as it was easy to handle and contains details of all various statistics of your website...

I use Stacounter and am very happy with it. I really like that I am able to give my client their own login for their site and yet keep it in my own account as well.

My clients are also very happy with it. It has an easy to read layout and option to export results easily to Excel. Great options to view where the traffic came from, the browser they used, their location and even what they entered into google to find you.

For HTML sites it is a breeze to install. for CMS sites it is even easier, just add their code to your template and every page is tracked separately.

stats counters typically don't record as much analytics do, but they often can provide insult results (something that analytics doesn't do).

GA is totally free, means without any limitations. Statcounter's free version has limitations. But it's counter is real-time, so that's an advantage. GA shows real-time number of visitors(at a point of time), but not with the actual counter.
For some reason, statcounter shows more nuber of visits than GA.

Both are of different Web analytical platforms and i could not phrase the differences between them because they are too different analytical tools. Stat counter just show u the basic information of your website stats but int he GA, it shows you almost everything and even old stats of your website.

Google analytics over all statistics about your websites, for eg new visitors, search engine visitors, keyword positions, page content overviews, stat counter less than google analytics tools and importance too.

I use both (including the free version of StatCounter). Analytics seems to provide more information. But StatCounter is a nice, easy, quick view of how the website is doing.

I have noticed that StatCounter gives me a count of visitors to my site that is about 10% higher than Analytics shows.
