Use BlogSpot if you don't want to spend money. You can learn a lot just by using BlogSpot. In term of product, you can check out CBTrends (Google it as I'm not allowed to post any live link here). From there, you can find Clickbank products with the latest trend (whether people buying it or not).

Blogspot is definitely a great platform for beginners. Free costs, a lot of customization allowed, and a pretty user-friendly interface. It has all the basics you need for starting out your own blog. Of course, the more sophisticated features are available if you choose to move on to Wordpress or other paid services.

Blogspot is good as it is free. And it takes like 10 minutes of your life time to set up, then, you can start blogging right away!

There are , however, several drawbacks using this blogging platform which i won't go into details here but the main one is that you don't OWN it. One day your blog can be shut down completely if the Big G think your blog violates its rule.

I would suggest for each individual to start with Self Hosted Wordpress. And you have much much more flexibility to do all kinds of things.

It is easy to set up, use, and manage. You got your own domain which later on can be flipped. You got lots of both free, paid plugins to use. You have freedom to monetize etc.

So if one can afford to pay around $10 per month for hosting, and another $10 for domain name, hosting your own blog is the way to go, i believe.

For a newbie blogger.com is suitable . But if he want to spanned some money at the starting then wordpress.com is better than blogspot or blogger.com .Worepress is more SEO friendly than blogger.com . Hi Tawana,

I started with blogspot, I stayed 3 years, but eventually changed to Wordpress and it was good since then I learned how to set up my own blog with the same WP system with my own domain and everything, and started to earn a lot from my traffic.

    Good luck.

I would say, go for WordPress.. It is easy to install, it's free and highly configurable with the help of many plugins. This way you can specify your own WordPress site/blog just the way you want. Most of the (free) plugins do exactly wath you want for you.I now use WordPress for 3 years and and more then satisfied...

The WordPress blog system is best for begginers. I have been using it for a number of years. Only the security sucks.

One can also say that the security of every software sucks because it is not 100% safe. WordPress is opensource so every scriptkid or hacker can view and analyse the cade. But with a few plugins and some manual labor a WordPress site can be made pretty safe. Some basic actions are needed and they are simple to perform.

You are right. I only know how to configure my htaccess to make the blog directories more secure. I haven't tested the security plugins yet.
