It depends what you mean by 'does nofollow links work?' It is generally accepted that you won't receive any link juice or PR through these links but they are encouraged. This is because it indicates a more natural link building process as having just a large number of dofollow links can indicate unnatural link building tactics which can result in a penalty.
it work as a referring traffic, I mean it bring traffic but not as backlinks, some say Google count it as backlinks.
No follow links do not pass any link juice but they help you to drive traffic to your site. Moreover you need to have a mix up of do follow and no follow back links. If you have so many do follow links you might be considered promotional user and might get highlighted by Google.
I wouldn't concentrate on such links but yes, they do help. The more important question is still what kind of a site, size/authority/pr if you still want to call it that way.
Hi, For long term ranking sector, no follow works. It don't show you in backlink check but helps you website to get page rank. Thanks
It will be counted as a "links to your site" but not "backlinks to your site" that means the nofollow links will never give any effect in improving the page rank. However, you may receive referral traffic from the website where the your website links has been placed.
Nofollow links has been apply to sculpt internal PR flow as site constantly tighten their site’s internal linking and also navigation paths to spotlight on the very most significant webpage’s of their sites
For referring traffic no follow links are useful but it don't pass variable values through back links according to search engine..
Yes no-follow links still have a use, ok so they dont pass PR juice. But if on the right site they do pass traffic which is more important, also they make your link building look more natural. If your site only has loads and loads of do follow links to it that looks very sus to the search engines. Its alot more natural to have a mix of both.
If your link is on a good site then you can get traffic from it. As Matt Cutts of Google has explained on his blog : "The rel='nofollow' attribute is an easy way for a website to tell search engines that the website can’t or doesn’t want to vouch for a link...Nofollow is recommended anywhere that links can’t be vouched for."
Nope, it does not work at all. It is simple. What you see under the section "link to your website" is the real list of inbound links that count for googlebot. In fact, you can waste a big amount of time posting your link to websites to websites that contains nofollow tags. If you want to check those webistes that apply a nofollow tag to the a href go to www.opensiteexplorer.org . You ll then discover than some of your URL you posted have a nofollow against it. Consequently, those links are useless for SEO. No robots will follow those links. Perhaps people will see your link for 1 week and then, it will disappear under 45000th page of a forum. In fact, i suggest you to try several link tools for tracking inbound links. I must say i don't like people who put nofollow. On the other hand, i don't put nofollow in the comments of my wordpress blog. If i accept a comment it means, i endorse the comment, i contribute to the Internet. Nofollow helps the bigs to stay big and prevent the small ones to get bigger.
