Monthly basis because most of SEO is looking for long term .
So you can charges a certain fee until the keyword up.
Then you can start charge the maintenance fee base on monthly.

In the previous most people like to charges per keyword or per project . But people will not paid that huge amount in one time . They prefer to paid time by time once they see the result slowly improve time by time.

While SEO costs are more than recouped by the benefits, there is an initial SEO cost that companies need to include in their budget.

WebpageFX's SEO pricing is based on the services and efforts required to obtain high rankings and the number of keywords a company is targeting.

It's definitely not cheap, but I think you're better off finding an individual than a real company.

Totally depends on what sort of keywords you are wanting to rank for. If you are trying to rank for stuff like "car insurance comparison" then expect to pay thousands of dollars a month or more. Local keywords tend to be more easier and therefore will require less SEO in turn reducing the cost of the service. Some keywords you can order a few services for $100 and you can rank for...

It depends on many factors like the niche of site, compition of keywords, number of keywords etc etc.
Usually freelance SEO's took around 300 to 400 $ for complete SEO of a site, but again it varies from site to site and region to region.

I have seen companies pay upwards to $300 a month for SEO marketing and optimization. So I would put a montly fee on it for sure, and charge anywhere from $80 to $250. Where ever you and your client feel most comfortable at. You don't want your client thinking your ripping them off either.

It depends on your requirements and the size of the SEO project. If you wish to hire a person for a long-term, then do it a monthly basis. But, if you're just looking for a project (for specified period) then hire some contractor to deliver your project. Until you give your requirements, specifications and project details, the price estimation of the SEO will be not possible.

I find you get what you pay for. Companies that offer only $200 a month, will do that kinda of work. If you want truely managed services, expect over $1k. I don't do any clients less than $1k, but you also get reports to see what is being done. Remember, SEO can be a blackhole to throw money down, but you need to see results.

Typically, the cheaper the cost, the cheaper the results. To get results, you need to drop money and give your SEO guy a healthy budget. $500+ a month is not uncommon at all, and if you're serious about ranking for competitive keywords, then it's the smart move.

I've seen competitive niche SEO work go for over $2000, it all depends on the ROI of the site and the work needed to rank highly. If you were promise them page 1 on google for something like 'memory foam mattresses' then expect to charge a bit, if however you were working on something like 'anal beads made with hemp' then expect to charge next to nothing. If you can guarantee results, you can charge a fortune. As they know they'll make that amount back and then some.
