    I'm a big fan of The Wire and i agree its the best show on tv, its just too bad it doesn't get the credit it deserves.

    Can't Wait for season 5 :D

    not only have I never heard of it I don't know what day it comes on, what network it airs from....who the star is etc. :(

    never even seen a promo?? they must not airs th promo spots during NFL games :p :p

    It's too bad the seasons are so short, only like 12 episodes. Great show though. It's on HBO and TMN (in Canada).

    Haven't seen, but on the box cover seems to have the same people that were in Oz...now that was a tv series!

    This is full of action, kind of dealing with the interactions of the police and gangs and young kids trying to make it out of the ghetto (and if they can't what they do to survive - or not). There is the mayor's point of view, the cops at various levels, the snitches, the thugs, the mom's of the kids who get forced to deal drugs and then never come home again... it's really quite powerful. Then again, most HBO programming is :)

    This was absolutely the BEST show on TV hands down. Network television had nothing on The Wire! 5 seasons only though? As "Wire" fans, we should have started a petition as soon as the word got out that they were going to cancel the show. Too bad it never got the props it deserved as well. Hopefully David Simon (I think that's his name-Executive producer) will pull another excellent show out of his pocket. Although I never did see "Generation X" I believe was the show that came on after "The Wire". I cancelled my HBO membership after The Wire was prematurely discontinued!
