If the domain was pointed at that site, it could be why it has a high but uncertain PR.

Not saying the domain itself isn't a good one, but the PR is dubious to me.

 

hmm am I the only one who sees the value in this site. chimaera the link you gave also shows a PR7 site giving tehblog.com a PR4 backlink with a relavent topic.

 

I definitely see value - it has some good backlinks as you say, and it's very brandable. I can see a large popular blog on this domain.

I'm just not sure about the PR, so if people were bidding on it just for that, they should know the facts (of course they should research it themselves also .. )

And after all of that ... I bid $60!

Note to seller: You might be better off trying to sell links until the next PR update and then re-list with a stable PR and a few indexed pages, you'll get a LOT more cash.

 

Yeah, seems almost as if you're trying to promote the sale of it. Why would you want someone else to outbid you?

As for outbidding me, even though I am the high bidder he already said his reserve is at $100 after I bid the first $55 so that doesn't make sense. Anyhow I am not trying to promote the sale. I just respect jezza here as a member and I even PMd him telling him he should hold onto the site and not sale it quite yet (the exact same thing itsme said). I told him the site is worth more than the $200 he is asking. I could really care less if I get the url or not, I am not into blog sites and would just end up flipping it, anyhow obtaining it isn't going to make me or break me.

The thing that bothers me is he is selling a hell of a domain name with a good PR4/PR6 and possible full PR6 in the next update and right away some pounce on it saying fake, fake. IMO that sucks, those remarks tend to only devalue his sale and also tend to stir up the lurkers etc. I post in his defense like good DP members do, the guy is a respectable member here and I am sure he knows what he is selling. That's it. Members at DP sometimes have such negativity embedded in them so when they see an oppourtunity they sometimes are too skeptical.

 

Members at DP have also seen all types of scams and bogus deals go through the buy/sell forums... they're not always being Negative, just Careful.

I don't know what will happen to the PR of this domain name, but regardless, it is a great domain name and does have value... but only as a domain name.

The fact remains, there is no website, not Google indexed, unsure of PR, no revenue or traffic stats and the domain doesn't even resolve. Because of these things, people are unsure of the sale... Sorry to point out the obvious but this all has an impact on the sale.

Best of luck to Jezza on the sale, you should at least but up an index page (even a blank one).

This site will go for sale after the next PR update so that the PR can be verified %100.

There seems to be too much confusion at the moment about the PR.

Anyways, looks like im going to turn the site into a webmasters Blog.
Site will be up again within a day i hope, i really dont know what happened, im off to check out the problem now.
