A valid statement, and I agree to some degree. It can of course be good for your SERP rankings, but you absolutely have to do it in a good way, or else it might hurt your brand. Many people leave their keywords as the author on the comment to get a nice keyword-rich backlink, but this almost always looks spammy.
Blog commenting can be a good method for generating massive amounts of direct traffic (mostly site admins). The stick rate for blog comments are thin so a lot of work for little backlinks. But again if you can send out massive comments (10s of thousands) you can get good direct traffic.
Blog commenting is good in volume but if you are targeting spammed sites I suggest you do not link bank to your money site. Always link back to one tier above your money site for the best affect.
As what was said already, as long as the blog comment is not spammy and is relevant to your niche, it could significantly help boost the image of your site. If you post on a high traffic blog for instance, you get people to view your site, hence increase its traffic.
I have found blog commenting to be good and effective. It's the fastest way to get your links out there
LoL - I heard it was good back in 1996... and nowadays - it's great for pissing ppl off and wasting your time. And O.P - I doubt much very so London you from are.
Hi, Do follow blog commenting can increase number of backlinks to your site or blog. Having do follow blog can gain more visitors day by day and also gain your search engine ranking.
Yes, it is! But I would rather suggest Article Marketing and forum updates, ROI of these is good!cheers!
The problem is that even with do follow blogs, in certain niches there are too few with PR2+. Most PR2+ blogs don't have comments enabled, moderate comments and don't allow links, or simply don't allow any links, period.
I wouldn't even bother... it just pisses ppl off, bloggers can see through your intentions and delete your comments in moderation queue - I deal with it daily and I know how much of a piss off it is...
Comments must be relevant. And don't put your blog domain name in the Name,,,bloggers don't like that. Put the link in the Website URL place. Then you should not have problems
One more thing, blog comments are more useful and effective if we comment on blogposts having OBLs less than 30 or 40 and relevant to our link's niche.
Yes blog commenting is good but the comment should be unique not duplicate because blog comment posting is the way to get backlink and traffice in short time. I do daily blog comment posting for my websites
Blog commenting is good, keep in mind most are no follow, spam is bad! And if you are spamming.. Most blogs are not set to auto approve these days. Its better to blog comment and provide real and insightful comments with a link back to your site. This way people will check your site reguardless
What do you consider spam? If I post a relevant comment to your blog, a couple of sentences long (which also shows that I've read your blog), and I follow with: "I've looked at a similar topic, but come out on the other side of the issue here: [link to my blog]"; does that piss people off?
Blog commenting is a good way of getting good quality backlinks to your site. Just don't spam. But you have to keep in mind that nowadays, most of them are no follow but it's good to have a mix of do-follow and no-follow backlinks to your website. Looks more natural that way.
