New version on the horizon. I'm rewriting TWP Auctions from the ground up. If anyone's got a feature request, now is your chance.
I am using TWP Auctions, along with other programs. I received this email from eBay EPN to day: Dear RSS v1 User, A few months ago you might recall receiving a reminder regarding migrating from RSS v1 to RSS v2. If you are receiving this email, we still see traffic from your ePN US, Canada, or Australia account driving traffic through RSS v1. I wanted to send a personal reminder that we are no longer supporting the RSS v1 infrastructure. We will fully deprecate the RSS v1 infrastructure globally on Wednesday, February 1st, 2012 at 12:00:00am PDT. You will need to migrate to RSS v2 prior to this date, or, risk going dark. Are your mapping being change to V2 formatting?
They have the informatiom in the blog with a link to download the new V2 RSS Format. I pm you the Blog link.
What version are you using? The last beta version (now abandoned) should have been using the RSS v2 feed. --- When I get around to making the 'new' version, I'll make sure everything is running on the latest version of whatever aff feed eBay is using these days. We're talking days, not weeks Stay tuned.
Thanks Kerosene, I am using twpauctions3.1beta, some of the eBay users told me it may be some old links generated before the change, old banners or even old editor kit that may need changing on my sites, that may be causing the problem.
<?php $epn_campaign_id = "000000"; $keyword = "keyword"; include "twpauctions.php"; ?> Code (markup): As i can see there are no Documentation regarding with how to control RSS from ebay.. Do you have common knowledge regarding control a RSS Result ? Like what a prices to show maybe ?
I would love for this to be able to pull keywords (maybe tags, categories) from the content on the page and use it as keywords when performing the ebay search...
Nope, not going to happen. I'm having enough trouble finding time to do anything at the moment. Also, you can often get better auction results by tweaking the keyword field anyway. --- I am going to get around to the new version. Eventually
kerosene, How does your plugin compare to a plugin like Auctions2post? Auctions2post basically scrapes auctions from ebay and adds them as posts to your BLOG.. using keywords you supply..
I still have a copy of the last beta version that was update for the RSS v2 feed. You can PM me where you want me to send it.
Wow, kudos to you Kerosene for keeping this up at all! I think we kicked off our plugins about the same time, but as you may know, I gave up on the free model some time ago...
