I want to work with some of the bigger CPA networks (Hydra, etc.). I have a lot of real estate on the sides of my blog for that purpose. But what are the common sizes for these? In other words, what are common dimensions of images used by these ad networks? I want to make sure I have enough room to accomodate what they are expecting and get all my "ducks in a row". Thx in advance.
Make your own images. The images CPA networks provide you are overused/not optimized. So my answer is: make them any size you want.
Thx again! Sorry to keep you so busy. Can you do that with the big boys? Example on this site (which of course is not me): http://artofmanliness.com/ Now when I go down the right of this blog, on the right there are a bunch of Toyota ads that I am sure come from a big CPA network. I think this site uses Tribal Fusion, Federated and one other. So you're saying that Toyota and the CPA network is going to let me alter their ads?
If I'm not mistaken, those are not coming from a CPA network. If you're joining a CPA network to run offers, you don't need to use their images.
Okay, that's a mind-blower. I thought these guys scripted things and pumped in a new image(s) whenever they feel like it? Basically what you're telling me, I think, is that behind the image there is a script and you can put any image on top of it that you want? So you can resize the image? Tweak it, etc.?
It depends what you're doing. If the code looks like a big long javascript/php code, then you can't change the image. If it's simple HTML, then you can. Are you running offers or ads?
Sorry, I don't even know the difference. I assumed the big boys told you what to do and you were to obey like sheep.
Nope. Depends on what you're running. At any rate, no ad is usually going to be wider than 300px if it's a sidebar ad.
Okay, thx - I'll check out the diff so I know what I'm talking about a little at least. Anyway, my sidebar is only 160 right now. I guess I better expand that a little, eh?
