Hello All DP users, I am from India and Hindi is my Mother Tongue so I am frequently with Hindi but I couldn't speak and wright good English. How I could speak frequent English? Thanks for your response in advance
It would be useful to have English/ American/ Canadian/Australian friends so you could communicate with them. take into account that there is a slight difference between their Englishes.
Watch British movies if you want to learn good English and talk fluently using the appropriate words and phrases.
Thanks for your support. Please do let me know your Skype id so I could send you invitation. Or you could send me request here skumawat1 on Skype. Looking for your positive response
Watch English speaking movies that use Hindi sub titles. Also if you want to learn American street talk, buy American comic books. The English used in them is simple but current, and uses expressions that the younger generation prefer. These comic books can be used as a teaching aid for people who are struggling with the English language.I don't know if you can get them where you live. American English is the same as other forms of English, but the expressions used are in constant flux and are ever changing.
Sorry I don't got you. And if you are making my joke then please stop it. I already let you all that I am weak in English. Any way thanks for your kind response.
There is a well known Romanian gymnastics coach who won many medals for his country. When interviewed he had to use an English translator.Four years later at the next Olympics he did not need a translator. When asked how he was able to learn English so quickly he said,"I started off watching children's shows(like Sesame Street)because the English was simple, and I also learnt from reading comic books".It seemed to work for him,now his English is pretty good.
I agree with the previous posters - try and immerse yourself into the english language. Read, watch movies with subtitles, have as many conversations in english as you possibly can. Also, my son's school uses the Rosetta Stone program to teach the english students how to speak french. Maybe something like that can help too.
Well, that's my words to Tushavi ( that's how quote feature works around here I guess). I haven't said anything to you!
