info: mysite.com returns another website. Why?

    Hi

    Yesterday I installed a wordpress theme on a brand new domain ecoteamcarpetcleaning.com Looks like the website got indexed, but when I do this search info:http://ecoteamcarpetcleaning.com it returns another website. What the problem can be? htaccess file doesnt have any redirects

    hi russkij I think u're wrong. you must search it with this format info:yoursite.com without http:// :)

    It will take time since it appears the sites have the same content, just give it some time.

    Everything looks okay on my end.

    I used "site:ecoteamcarpetcleaning.com". The problem is quick and easy to spot... according to ahrefs.com you have 0 backlinks. If you want to start seeing your website appear in the search engines, you need to start building some backlinks to your website from relevant sites if possible.

    Yeah, sorry, I reread that and realized I made that assumption. I don't know why, perhaps the domain was previously owned and 301'd to that domain? Still, I think some backlinks pointing to the domain will probably correct the issues.

    This can also be that Google's web-crawler "dials home" every 72 hours, and full information about the domain may not be available until then, thus not showing the correct results on your search.

    Actually today google didnt return any results for info:domain but there are some webpages in index. Weird stuff ))
