Do you trust SEO freelancers for building backlinks?

    Hi all!

I want to build backlinks from scratch for one of my clients- he just launched his website.
I found out that there are freelancing sites with freelancers profiles that claim to do this job. Have you tried that?

Do you find it a good strategy?

    Thanks!
    Sof

Let me get this straight, you can to build backlinks for your client using sites like freelancer? It's situations like this why I "don't" trust, nor recommend using non-reputable SEO providers and consultants. So, you could say my answer is NO.

Yes, you can, but you need to decide what you need from freelancer! you should not aspect too high. Just you need to give clear instraction and freelancer will work as per your instraction and it will save your valuable time and money.

Generally no, depends what you want if you are after high quality links which you should, then no.

They wont put the time in to research each site they get links from, they will just try and get you as many links as possiable, telling you they are high quality just because they have high PR which is so far from the truth.

I am not saying they are all like this but I think most are and they will never have the same high standards you have when doing the work yourself as you have a vested intrest, they dont they just want to make it look like they got the job done an got it done fast, unfortunatly.

I would advise staying well away from sites that are about to comment spam the domain into the ground as well as those that are still of the belief that web 2.0 property linkwheels are positive when building links. Not only are these methods unproven to work following the evolution of Google and other search engines over recent years but also carry huge evidence that done wrong and they could potentially kill a domain from the moment that they start.

Finding a freelancer within the SEO market can be a potential minefield with many, especially on here, claiming that they are experts within their field but the truth is that if that were the case, they would have some big fees and big clients to show for that fact.

This above is a great example of someone that is going to flash the domain through a number of automatic tools and just hope for the best, something that carries a huge warning sign should you even consider taking this offer up.

SEO services are like anything else, you pay for what you get.

So someone charging $5 per hour is unlikely to have the ability to be able to rank you well for competitive terms as they WILL lack the knowledge and insight needed. (Based on the fact that someone that can do this at $5 per hour without spamming the hell out of other sites would be doing so for some of the biggest brands in the world).

Ask for previous clients, look through their backlinks and make sure that the links are relevant to the niche that you are aiming to rank in, anything else will land you in trouble in excess!

Would be interesting to see proof of the claim that you are making here? What makes a freelancer better than a company?

Yes, you can do that. You have to find out good freelancer depending upon their previous work history and feedback by their buyers. You should have to prepare exact work instruction for him, for getting maximum work. Proper instruction will ensure the good quality of work.

Freelancers are OK but it might be best to higher people to do the services often so they know what they are doing

There are many genuine freelancers available on freelancing site and they can be filtered through their profile. You can check their profile and feedback received through the job providers. You will be able to see the the review of the freelancer and how many tasks he/she has completed and if within the time-frame given to them.
